Pergola & Bioclimatic
What Is a Bioclimatic Pergola and How Does It Work?
The working principle of adjustable-louver roof systems, with motor and automation options.
A bioclimatic pergola is a movable roof whose aluminium louvers rotate by motor to control light, shade and airflow. When closed, EPDM gaskets make the structure rainproof; integrated channels drain water through the legs.
Scissor or piston?
Scissor (rolling roof) systems stack their panels to open the roof completely; piston systems rotate the blades 100°–115° without stacking. Choose scissor for full sky access, piston for fine climate control.
Automation
Remote controls, wind/rain sensors and smartphone apps integrate readily; LED lighting, heaters and zip screens can be added per project.
